Guest guest
Bronzed Sesame Bread 275 ml/1.25cups water 1 Tbsp toasted sesame oil oil 450 g/3 cups strong white bread flour 1.5 tsp salt 2 tsp soft brown sugar 1 Tbsp dried skimmed milk powder 4 Tbsp lightly toasted white sesame seeds 1.5tsp fast-acting dried yeast Add all ingredients in the order required by your breadmaker. Set for basic white setting. One of my favourite things to eat in Turkey are the ring-shaped sesame rolls called semit which bakers' boys sell in the streets strung on long poles. This loaf has something of that toasted sesame seed flavour. Glazing the loaf and sprinkling it with more toasted sesame seeds would be really good.
