Hi from Paula--I'm New

Hi to all---I joined this morning with gracious invitation from Donna

(btw--Thanks!). I am so happy to be here and have all these wonderful

recipes and conversation coming my way. I am 53 yrs old--not totally

vegetarian yet, but that is my goal. My main stumbling blocks are family

and social occasions where I feel obligated to take what is being served

so as not to appear rude or picky....I'm married with two older teenage

sons who have been heavily influenced by the macho meat eating and

hunting culture around here (Texas--but I'm sure we're not unique in

that). Someday I hope my sons will regain their senses, and remember

what I've been trying to teach them all these years! My husband is a

sweetheart as far as what I feed him---he's all for no meat! I have a

part time job at a Mother's Day Out here and I'm an enthusiastic

exerciser--mainly spinning class now, since I had a stress fracture in my

foot last year and had to give up my wonderful highly choreographed step

class! Well--this is probably enough information for an intro!!!!

 

I have a few recipes that I will try to get together that I have done

through the years that I will be posting soon, but to be honest, I feel

I've suddendly been handed a huge goldmine of great recipes from this

list.... and I'm kind of shy to put my little paltry ones in! LOL!!!!
