Guest guest Posted March 12, 2006 Report Share Posted March 12, 2006 Cabbage Salad 8 cups shredded cabbage 1 large onion, thin sliced 2 tbls sugar .. if desired 1 cup vinegar .. 3/4 cup salad oil .. 1/2 cup mayo 1 chopped tomato .. salt to taste .. green peppers .. carrots Layer cabbage/ green peppers/ carrots/ onions/ tomato/ mayo/ sugar in large bowl. Heat oil, vinegar, and salt. Pour over Cabbage and sugar mixture. Marinate 3 to 4 hours in refrigerator. Keeps for long time in refrigerator.
