Guest guest
Before becoming vegetarian I was very big on coupons. They still work for me at times. This site is great - it has something (called Virtual Coupon Organizer) that will tell you what coupons have been released in newspapers and haven't yet expired, also what deals are current on groceries. Everything is by state so you'll get what is good in your area. http://www.couponmom.com/index.php?cid=1 There are places where you can get multiples of just the coupons you need (like eBay.) You just pay for postage. I don't normally do this but it's available and handy for good sales. I used to belong to a coupon trading group to get multiples. Speaking of pasta, the Albertson's ad has Barilla Pasta on sale right now for $.50 a box. Good through Mar. 9. On the Virtual Coupon Organizer you learn that there is a coupon out for $.50 off three. So you can pay as little as $1 for 3 lbs of pasta. Morningstar farms products were recently on sale at Vons/Safeway for 2 for $6 - with a newspaper coupon from recent months for $1 off one, I paid $2 a box. I also stocked up on Riblets a few months ago when they put them in a clearance bin in the freezer section - $1.35 a box minus $.50 coupon from the Gardenburger website. That's $.85 a box! These are things I wouldn't usually buy but I do when I have coupons and sales. Also, hang on to the coupons that are printed when you check out. I got one for $2.30 off 1 carton of Silk Soy Milk, $1 off Soy Delicious Ice Cream, and $2 off two Morningstar Farms products recently. It can be time consuming but fun to save.
