Guest guest
That's not a stupid question, we all seem to learn together in here. You know I have taken crusty breads or day old stale bread and sliced thin and dried out in the oven on a low temp and made bread crumbs. What I do now is buy a box saltine crackers with no salt on the tops and I grind them in the blender, they make great breadcrumbs and I will make one container full of plain and one container I stir in Italian seasoning and use those to coat patties before I fry them or I add as a filler for non-meatloaves, gives that nice herb flavoring. Hope this gives you a new idea, ~GeGee~ , " christie_0131 " <christie0131 wrote: > > This is probably a stupid question, but I shall go with it anyway. > when a recipe calls for breadcrumbs, do you make your own?
