Guest guest
Appreciate the information. I do have ground nutmeg so I will use as a substitute. Is mace commonly used in recipes? I never see it listed as an ingredient. Now I'm curious how different they taste from one another. One way to find out, I shall pick some mace up and find out. Thanks again, Lawanna , " Amy " <sandpiperhiker wrote: > > > I'm quit interested in making this bread. I'm not at all familiar > > with the spice, mace. Guest guest
Nutmeg would be a good alternative to mace, it is however a bit more mild than nutmeg. It's is used a lot in Indian foods and is an ingredient in garam masala spice blend. Medicinally is has antimicrobial properties and is used in parasite cleaning formulas. I am going to have to try out that bread recipe, it sounds delicious! > Appreciate the information. I do have ground nutmeg so I will use > as a substitute. Is mace commonly used in recipes?
