mace and nutmeg? Nutmeg to replace

Appreciate the information. I do have ground nutmeg so I will use

as a substitute. Is mace commonly used in recipes? I never see it

listed as an ingredient. Now I'm curious how different they taste

from one another. One way to find out, I shall pick some mace up and

find out.

Nutmeg would be a good alternative to mace, it is however a bit more

mild than nutmeg. It's is used a lot in Indian foods and is an

ingredient in garam masala spice blend. Medicinally is has

antimicrobial properties and is used in parasite cleaning formulas.

I am going to have to try out that bread recipe, it sounds delicious!
