Guest guest
Since blueberries were on sale this weekend I found this recipe, made a nice afternoon snack with my tea. Fresh Blueberry Scones 2 cups sifted flour 2 tsps. baking powder 1 tbsp. molasses 1/4 cup butter or margarine 1/4 tsp. soda 1 cup blueberries 1/2 cup buttermilk Dash of salt Sift dry ingredients together. Cut in butter until the size of blueberries. Add blueberries and lightly mix. Gradually add milk and molasses. Be gentle with dough, do not crush the berries. Pat dough to about 1/2 inch thickness and cut in small triangles. Place on greased sheet and bake at 425 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes. Split each one and spread with butter. Serve warm. Makes 8 scones. Autos. Looking for a sweet ride? Get pricing, reviews, & more on new and used cars.
