I'm and Eastern Orthodox Christian, and during our periods of fasting (read: abstinence) which include about 1/2 of each year we abstain from *all* animal products - which includes dairy and eggs - and even from olive oil and alcohol. Makes planning meals for a diverse family not very easy. Finding vegan recipes that my DH will 1) eat and 2) not develop massive diar---- is extremely difficult. I'm hoping to learn some new recipes and ways of cooking. Will contribute a few of the ones that " work " for us. To make it more complicated, I have fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and arthritis, so most meals have to be simple to prepare - not take too much time standing, chopping, stirring, etc. Cheerio!
