Sure use the inexpensive booze, it will taste the same. Actually the alcohol content will leave upon baking but in the glaze you will sure taste it. I have a Jack Daniels whiskey cake recipe around here somewhere that is wonderful, want that recipe too? When I make my wine cake I use 99 cent wine from the " 99 Cent " store and do I ever get the compliments on that cake.
