They are still in my freezer *lol*... but i will try them soon. i guess i am kind of like you in that i don't miss meat at all, and i can sometimes feel weird with the analogs being too much like the real thing. However, i think it is great there are items like this on the market and so available these days. It sure makes it easier for people to go veg when the do still crave meat but don't want to eat it anymore. i enjoy trying new analogs and making recipes using them so i can share with omnivores in confidence that they won't feel deprived as a vegetarian. ~ pt ~ If the full, rich, mythic sense of place is finally taken out of our cultural compass, then we will mentally inhabit a spiritual wasteland. ~ Paul Devereux, 'Revisioning the Earth'
Guest guest
Those are some really good thoughts, PT, thank you for sharing them! I might need to borrow them for some folks at church who are now thinking of becoming veg...<wink, wink>... I have been havin' a blast this week cookin' out of Vegan Planet. If y'all would like, I can share the recipes. They are wonderful. I mean, WONDERFUL. Every single one I've tried has been over the top! hugs, Bron On 2/16/06, ~ PT ~ <patchouli_troll wrote: > > In digest#518, Bron shared: " PT, those > chicken strips taste very authentic to me! > My dh and I had them in stirfry and I > couldn't believe how much they looked like > the real thing...actually, it kind of made > me feel uneasy because of how they looked. > I had to run check the ingredients list > again JUST to make sure...:>) "
