Valentine candy and gelatin

I have been trying to read labels more not that I joined in this group.

I was looking at the hard candy Valentine message hearts over the weekend and

I see they have gelatin in them.

Did anyone else see this too?

yup.

that's kinda the bummer of those traditional candy hearts.. but do

not be discouraged, I know there are some out there that are w/o

gelatin... just try some other brands!

If you go to your nearest health food store, ask them if they have

vegetarian gelatin there. I can't say about candies we buy, etc.. As a

Diabetic, I CANNOT have a lot of carbs, so that includes sugarless brownies

and candies, etc.. And while I know you were talking about the possible

animal gelatin in those candies, for those who didn't know, there is a

pectin gelatin for vegetarians made from fruit sources.
