Guest guest Posted February 11, 2006 Report Share Posted February 11, 2006 This is a Vegetarian/Vegan recipe that is delicious and very attractive . I like to use bow ties or shells. Pasta Fazool 1 can soy beans with liquid (white navy is traditional) 4 cups cooked macaroni (elbo, bow ties, shells,rotini) 3 garlic cloves thinly sliced 1/2 onion diced 2 celery stalks w/leaves diced 1 medium carrot sliced thin 2 tablespoons olive oil 1 cup veggie stock 1 cup prepared spaghetti sauce 1/2 teaspoon basil 1/2 teaspoon oregano salt and pepper to taste Sautee garlic, onion, celery, and carrots in olive oil until soft. Add beans and veggie stock and simmer while preparing pasta Add prepared spaghetti sauce, basil and oregano Add cooked pasta and serve.
