The addition of a little lemon juice really seems to take some of the " stink " out of the brocc; i don't mind the smell of cooked broccoli, but my family always wrinkles their noses up at it. Broccoli In Herbed Butter 1 lb fresh broccoli, cut into spears 2 Tbs butter or margarine 1 1/2 tsp lemon juice 1 1/2 tsp finely chopped onion 1/4 tsp salt, optional 1/8 tsp each dried thyme, margoram and savory Cook broccoli until crisp-tender. Melt butter; add lemon juice, onion, salt id desired and herbs. Drain broccoli and place in a serving dish. Add butter mixture; toss to coat. Yield: 6 servings Diabetic exchanges: One serving prepared with margarine without salt equals 1 fat, 1/2 vegetable; also, 51 calories, 42 mg sodium, 0 cholesterol, 3 gm carbohydrate, 2 gm protien, 4 gm fat. ~ pt ~ Among creatures some lead and some follow.
