This is from my ancient, worn, falling apart 1958 Good

Housekeeping Cookbook,

actually Mom tossed it my way many years ago and I

just adore this book. This

is wonderful on top of steamed veggies, in the center

of mashed or on top of

boiled potatoes mashed down, and extra firm tofu is

heaven sauteed in it. You

can even dip chunks bread and enjoy.

 

" Caper Butter "

 

Melt 1/2 cup butter, margarine or vegan margarine. Add

4 teaspoons of vinegar

of your choice , 2 tablespoons of bottled capers, and

2 tablespoons of minced

fresh parsley (of course I use cilantro) and stir

together.

 

 

 

 

One thing I can tell you

is you got to be free.
