Guest guest
Miss D. went on in what seemed like a direct insult to a recent thread on uses for balsamic vinegar: " Poor people buy bologna, not balsamic vinegar. " ~ i am not rich! i do buy balsamic vinegar, but i save money to be able to buy it, and i shop at a discount grocery outlets store for such treats. They don't always have what i want on the shelves because that is the nature of the store; they carry over-stock items and stuff that is soon to expire from other large stores. But you would be surprised at what wonderful things i am able to buy for way less. PLUS i save by not buying bags of chips, bottles of sugary soda, and other pre-packaged crap that many Americans, regardless of color, fill their grocery carts with. It has nothing to do with time or color of your skin, or if you get food stamps, or if you drive a BMW. i see just as many wealthy Americans with loaded carts of unhealthy food choices as i see low-income Americans buying with their food stamps. Not having a desire to cook for yourself in a healthy way and buying junk food on impulse is not an economic or racial issue. It is an American issue. i have recently read it is a trend that is spreading around the globe, too. But we can change, and share with each other, and learn to live better on groups like this. i don't know what color you are or how much money you have, and i don't care. Let's stop thinking so negative and share a healthy recipe. Seize the day! ~ pt ~ " You can't just sit down and talk about the truth. It doesn't work that way. You have to live it and be part of it and you might get to know it. " ~ Rolling Thunder, CHEROKEE
