Guest guest
Hi Jenni What kind of a machine would you use to do this? I was checking out the web for machines that make nut butter and they all cost about £350 which is a fearsome amount of money. Since I stopped eating dairy butter I find I am going through rather a lot of nut butters. Guest guest
I simply used a small food processor! the one I have is really old.. it was given to me by a friend who found it for $5 at a garage sale! I don't have any extra blades or anything.. but I love this little thing.. I use it for guacamole, hummus, and peanutbutter... I've even used it for smoothies in the past.. but it is small...only 2 cup capacity..lol When I tried making nut butter simply by grinding the nuts, I found they did not contain enough oil to make a butter... I don't remember if i used raw, roasted or what... but that brought me to the 'method' of buying a jar of peanut butter and buying nuts.. then grinding the nuts w/ a little of the store bought butter... It was cheaper than buying more peanutbutter... =) jenni http://tinyurl.com/9y6tq On Feb 4, 2006, at 2:21 PM, christie_0131 wrote: > Hi Jenni > What kind of a machine would you use to do this?
