Guest guest
Donna, You would be right at home in my kitchen. I cook the same way you do. I also buy my spices and herbs in bulk or fresh and air dry. My grocery bill is far less than most. When I see grocery carts laden with pre-packaged chemical added food and see how much it costs I am s hocked. It is a simple matter of education. Tea bags are another expensive waste of money. I buy bulk rose hips, mints, chamomile, green tea, lavender, etc. and it lasts for months for *pennies*. I save everything. Orange and lemon peals for tea and sauces. Dried and kept in glass bottles . This lifestyle is a challenge for me and I love doing it. I learn something new every day. Life is a hoot. Smiles and hugs coming your way. Any extra ripe or leftover bananas, strawberries, zucchini or carrots go into a breads or a crockpot of soup. I make most of my veggie burgers and the loaves from the files to go with dinner and use for sandwiches the next day. I like to drink fruit flavored sun

I know my grocery bill is very low. When you start adding the frozen meals, chips, snacks and crackers it really adds up. I pretty much avoid those. > Donna > > > Melissa <mapalicka wrote: > I think that being veg can actually be cheaper, but not if you're > buying lots of processed foods to suppplement your diet. veggies, > rice, etc are cheap.
