Guest guest
should have said drizzle, drizzle soy sauce and syrup over the leaves. hugs, CHanda PS. the crunchiness of these leaves is unique. Comparable to the crunchiness of chard stalks, but on a larger scale. crunchy yet soft, not stringy. - PuterWitch Friday, February 03, 2006 10:59 PM chinese cabbage peel leaves off and place in glass dish or any microwave safe dish. pour a little soy sauce, maple syrup, and a touch of garlic powder over the leaves, cover and microwave to desired crunchiness. Guest guest
Chanda, This is so much like my recipe for *fried cabbage*. I sautee cabbage pieces in a little olive oil and brown before simmering in the other ingredients. I also add a touch of vinegar. This is one of my favorite side dishes with mashed potatoes. Just had it for lunch a couple days ago.
