Being Vegetarian

Jenny,

I feel the same about being a Vegetarian. It is a deep spiritual

experience. Everything in one's life begins to change. There is such a

caring for all life and pure joy in everyday living. It seems like

one's mind becomes calm and open to new understandings.

I now understand why our ancient ancestors thanked plants and animals

for their gifts of life.

I agree with that, y'all. I just got a polite but warning email from a group

I joined thinking everybody would be on the same page as me, you know,

loving and caring for animals as a whole--it was a group for vegetarian

diabetics--somebody posted they were newly diagnosed and how did they get

their protein, so I told 'em. :>) And also talked about fish and how fish

suffer pain, because another person said that " they were vegetarian but ate

fish " ...I was like, What is up with THAT? and proceeded to disabuse the

group of THAT notion. It wasn't well taken at all, at all...

But at least the owner of the group had the decency to cut me about it OFF

the list. " We don't discuss animal suffering or cruelty at all on this

list. " I said, " oooookay...well, then, I don't belong on this list, I

reckon! " and subsequently took myself off.

I don't get how you can be a vegetarian and not care about animals!!!!!

Bron,

shaking her head...
