I have to admit they are not cheap to purchase, however, when taking a pan of

cornbread out of the oven last weekend my cloth pot holders were damp and I

got a steam burn. That will NEVER happen with the silicone. I dropped the

cloth pot holder and grabbed my silicone pot holder - also damp - with no

adverse

reaction at all. I am even thinking of buying the silicone cake and muffin

pans. They will take up ever so much less room in my bakeware storage since

they are floppy when empty and can be scrunched together to save space. Now if

they could just figure out how to make a roll up cookie sheet that is rigid

when flat it would really make my day.
