I see LAwanna found my recipe for you. Was a plesant surpsise to see

a nice review also. Enjoy Jane and let us know how you like them.

Just eating out of the jar would leave a bad impression but using in

recipes I'm sure you will be in for a pleasant surprise.

Can't wait to try this recipe, Sissy! I'm glad you mentioned that eating

them out of the jar might leave me with a bad impression!! I was just about to

go open the jar and taste them. : )

I know as a kid I tried them out of the jar and thought they were horrid. It

was years later that I discovered using them when I made salad type dishes and

recipes calling for feta, olives or ripe tomatoes. I did notice they are even

better if the tomatoes are real ripe and dark red, the capers compliment the

tomatoes. Enjoy your new discovery.

Excellent idea Donna for sampling the capers.

I did try and they are more salty then I expected, even after rinsing them.

But they are good and I'll throw them in my salad today! Thanks for the tip.

Those things pack a powerful salty punch. Better not taste them

alone. You could slice a tomato and mash a few up with some mayo of

your choice and spread on top of the tomato to try. Don't salt the

tomato.......Donna
