Mine isn't a recipe, per se, but this is how I make Pasta Pomodoro. Cook a pile of garlic in the bottom of a large pot. Chop a bunch of fresh summer tomatoes and add them, add a heavy sprinkle of dried basil and oregano (or chopped fresh is even better), and a pinch of salt. I usually do not add olive oil, as I find it's more sauce-tasting than fresh-tasting that way. Cook over medium heat until the tomatoes have softened, but not gone to mush.
