discontented tree

Unfortunately, I think I have. :(

 

It was in college and it was all by itself on an island of grass

surrounded by a sea of pavement. It looked like quite the old-

timer and I could just " feel " its sorrow in seeing the landscape

and friends around it transformed and uprooted.

I too have seen a *discontented tree*..Once in Cali near the ocean

where I was living at the time . I came across a little palm tree

growing in a crack in the cement. I knew it would never grow to

maturity but one sure had to respect it's tenasity.

Another *discontented tree* ..I lived in the mountains for several

years and when neighbors who were building a cabin plowed their new

road, they uprooted a perfectly healthy ancient pine tree. When I

found it dying with it's roots exposed I could have cried. I gathered

pieces of roots and made wind mobiles for myself and my friends.
