Guest guest Posted December 28, 2009 Report Share Posted December 28, 2009 Simply Sesames 1 cup butter or marg , softened 3/4 cup sugar 1/ 1/2 cups flour 1 cup flaked coconut 1/2 cup sesame seeds 1/4 cup finely chopped almonds In a bowl, cream the butter and the sugar. Add the flour. Mix just until combined. Stir in the coconut, sesame seeds, and the almonds. Chill for 15 minutes. Divide the dough in half. Shape each half into a 2-inch diameter roll. Wrap each roll in waxed paper. Twist each end to seal. Refrigerate for two hours or overnight. Remove the dough from the refrigerator. Remove the waxed paper. Cut each roll into 1/4 inch slices. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 300 F for 20-25 minutes or until lightly browned. Cool for 2 minutes, then remove to wire racks to cool completely.
