Guest guest
I highly recommend the Fagor Pressure Cooker. I bought the one that came with 2 different size pots, so I have a smaller one for smaller amounts to cook and a large one for larger amounts too cook in them. They also both can be used as a regular pot with the inclosed clear lid. They are gleaming 18/10 stainless steel pots and are a new generation of pressure cookers with many safety features and no jiggle weight to worry with. Here are some recipes from the Fagor Pressure Cooker site. There are plenty of vegetarian recipes to choose from. http://www.fagoramerica.com/my_fagor/recipe_library/pressure_cooker_recipes Here are some of the different groupings that Fagor offers. http://www.fagorpressurecookers.com/ I have the Spendid model that came with a 4 qt and 8 qt pots. Here is a YouTube demonstrations using the Fagor Pressure Cookers. Amazon has the best price on the interenet for them, with no tax and free shipping included. http://www.amazon.com/Fagor-Elite-Pressure-Cooker-Qt/dp/B0006LL78W/ref=pd_sbs_k_\ 3 And guess what I just discovered - Fagor's 6 qt. Electric Multi-Cooker is a pressure cooker, a slow cooker and a rice cooker in one. http://www.amazon.com/Fagor-Electric-Multi-Cooker-pressure-cooker/dp/B001A62O1G/\ ref=pd_sim_k_41 Merry Christmas! Guest guest
I highly recommend an electric/digital pressure cooker. I like not having to use my stove and heat up the house. Living in the deep south of Georgia where summer lasts 9 months of the year and sores into the 100s in great humidity, this is a blessing. Plus the electric ones do not have to be tended to in order to be regulated, nor do they have to be treated as a hot pot. You just plug in the eletric PC, set it, and go. I don't hear either of mine, nor do I have to be in the kitchen with them. They don't heat up the place or get hot to the touch. Fagors are great about replacement parts as well. I also will let you know that all of them do come with nonstick pot inside, so if you are on the quest of finding one with a stainless steel pot, don't bother, go with a stove top model. The electric/digital ones just don't come with stainless steel pots. Sorry....too many people have searched and failed. There is a rice cooker that has a clay pot called VitaClay. You can get it at WM, HSN, and other place for about $100. All other RC have nonstick. I also use my rice cooker along side my PC. They just take the heat out of the kitchen.
