Spiced Peaches

 

2 28 ounce can peach halves, syrup reserved

1 1/3 cups sugar

1 cup vinegar

1 stick cinnamon

2 teaspoons whole cloves

 

Drain cans of peach halves, reserving syrup. Combine peach syrup, 1 1/3

cups sugar, 1 cup vinegar, 1 stick cinnamon, and 2 tsps. whole cloves in

saucepan. Bring mixture to boil.

Simmer for 10 minutes. Pour hot syrup over peaches and let cool. Chill

before serving.

Store in refrigerator. Yields 4 pints.
