It is best prepared the night before so the flavors go through it. I'd like to try some fake ham (Mom always used ham) in it next time -- I was afraid bacon bits would take over the flavor too much. Old Fashioned Macaroni Salad 1 lb elbow macaroni, prepared 1 1/2 c mayonnaise 2 tbsp prepared mustard 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar 4 stalks celery, diced 2 bunches green onions, sliced 1 8-oz can black olives, sliced 8 oz monterey jack cheese cubes 4 hard boiled eggs, diced Audrey S.
