Guest guest Posted February 22, 2009 Report Share Posted February 22, 2009 This is a yummy vegetarian version of a BLT spread recipe that I wanted to try from an omnivore cooking magazine. I think my veggie version came out really good and it is perfect to use the leftovers as a sandwich spread, if there are any. BLT Spread 1/2 cup sour cream 1/2 cup mayonnaise 1 package (12oz) fakey bacon, cooked and crumbled* 1 small tomato, diced Small lettuce leaves Toasted snack breads or crackers Assorted fresh dipping vegetables In a bowl, combine sour cream, mayo and the veggie bacon crumbles; mix well. Stir in diced tomato. Serve with lettuce, bread, cracker and fresh veggies.
