Guest guest Posted December 15, 2008 Report Share Posted December 15, 2008 Brown Sauce with Rice 6 tablespoons all-purpose flour 1/4 cup butter or margarine, melted 2 cups broth 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce 3 cups hot cooked rice Cook flour and butter in medium skillet over low heat until brown, stirring constantly. Gradually add broth. Cook, stirring, until mixture boils and thickens. Add garlic powder, pepper and Worcestershire sauce; continue cooking 1 minute. Serve over hot rice. Serves 6.
