Guest guest Posted December 1, 2008 Report Share Posted December 1, 2008 Breakfast Ideas *Soy or Dannon Vanilla yogurt(comes in a large container) mixed in with Bare Naked Granola http://www.bearnakedgranola.com/granola.htm or Kashi Almond and Flax seed cereal. Stir in any of the following - raw green pumpkin seeds, raw sunflower seeds, walnuts/almonds/pecans, diced fresh apples and bananas. *A fruit smoothie *Toast or pancake with peanut butter spread on it and Maple Syrup, apple sauce, apple butter on top *Sauted veggies mixed in with cooked couscous * Cooked Oatmeal, Cream of Wheat, or 7 Grain Cereal . Add in your bowl, any of the following - sliced bananas, trail mix, nuts, raisens, craisens, maple syrup *Shredded wheat biscuits cereal with soy milk and sliced strawberries, blueberries or sliced bananas *Steam fried potatoes, Grits with Baco's sprinkled on the plate(so they stay crispy), Hearty WW Toast spread with Smart Balance Light with Flax Seed Oil *Fresh Fruits or Fruit Salad, Fruit Juice, Roma Hot drink with Silk Soy Creamer *Left over's from another meal *Whole wheat soft burrito rounds, spread with crunchy or smooth peanut butter and put a whole banana and unsweetened shredded or chip coconut(optional) in it and roll up. Guest guest Posted December 2, 2008 Report Share Posted December 2, 2008 Fruit smoothies don't have to be hard, either -- I think I posted this once before, but my favorite thing to do with overripe bananas (and as soon as they have no more green on them, I consider them " overripe " !) is to freeze them individually wrapped in foil. Then I stick them in the blender with a little milk and a little vanilla. You can add a little sugar or sweetner, but I usually don't. My mom did this all the time when we were growing up. I also learned from Mom that you can put peanut butter on ANYTHING!! My favorite is peanut butter in oatmeal -- it's melts in the warm oatmeal... mmm...! And peanut butter on BLTs, along with mayo for those that like it (and yes, I've done this with fake bacon, too!) Audrey S.
