In the states they might be called beluga lentils? Not sure. You could go buy visual. Do a search for puy lentil pics and you will see what they look like. They are smaller than green or brown lentils and black, with just a little bit of speckling to them. I think my sister in america got them in the bulk section of whole foods or a similar place. if you've never had them, you are in for a treat! The classic way to make them--french style--is to cook them with herbs and oil and vinegar and then to make a cold salad of them with vegetables, viniagrette and goats cheese. yummy! marith Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
