Guest guest Posted September 11, 2008 Report Share Posted September 11, 2008 Rice Vermicelli Pilaf for 2 1 tsp. margarine 3/4 ounce uncooked vermicelli, broken into 1/2-inch pieces 2 ounces uncooked regular long-grain rice 1 packet instant onion broth and seasoning mix 1 tsp. chopped fresh mint 1/8 tsp. white pepper In nonstick saucepan melt margarine; ad vermicelli and cook over medium heat, stirring, until vermicelli is lightly browned, 2 minutes. Add 1 cup water and the remaining ingredients and stir to combine; cover and bring mixture to a boil. Reduce heat to low, cover, and let simmer until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed 15 minutes.
