Guest guest
Deas easy to do garlic bread. Take enough butter to butter both sides of the amount of bread you want (I normally buy a Baugette to do it with). then peel 4 or 5 cloves of garlic (more or less fine to your taste!) and crush it into the butter. Add some fresh chopped parsley or other herbs if you like then mix the butter herbs and garlic together. Slice your baugette and butter both sides of the slices reassembling the loaf as you go. Wrap it in aluminium foil and stick it in the oven at 200 - 250 degrees centigade (sorry its vauge, my cooker is a wood fired aga so things go in at whatever temp it is at and get cooked till its done) and bake it for about 20 min till the crust of the bread is crunchy and the butter has melted and soaked in. Took far longer to type that than prep one!
