Hummus Spread

 

1 19 oz. can chickpeas, drained and rinsed

1/3 cup natural peanut butter or tahini

1/4 cup lemon juice

3 tbsps. water

1 tbsp. canola oil

3/4 tsp. ground cumin

1/4 tsp. salt 

1 clove garlic, minced, if desired 

 

In food processor, blend together chickpeas, peanut butter, lemon juice, water,

canola oil, cumin and salt until smooth. Stir in garlic if desired. Refrigerate

in airtight container for up to 3 days. Yields 2 cups.
