Guest guest
I'm a Christian who wants to fast, but I have low blood sugar…any tips? In the drug-free fraternity, fasting is oft-times praised for being perhaps the most effective path to attaining improved health via detoxification. Many label it as the greatest remedy within and a sure-fire way of cleansing the body while at the same time reconnecting it with the Almighty. Consequently, it is frequently practiced in several religions and is often associated with a time of spiritual revival and physical detoxification. Moreover, most religions such as Christianity see it as a time for atonement. However, one may ask, if a Christian has low blood sugar levels and would like to fast, how does one cope with that? Being a Christian myself who often fasts, there are options to ensure that Christians who may be fasting and praying but still have low blood sugar will be able to keep up with their fasting program and regimen. These options are the less-difficult forms of fasting and have actually been proven to be more-or-less effective as the strictest form of fasting, that being the water fast. Since the digestive tract is not being taxed, Christians who may be fasting but have low levels of blood sugar can adopt such choices and still keep up with fasting to reap all its benefits. 1. A Juice Fast or " The Lemonade Master Cleanser Diet " 2. Fasting on Vegetable Broth 3. A Restricted Mono-Meal of Seasonal Fruits Fast (more of a camouflaged fast) Obviously, these options are being listed in a degree of efficiency and perhaps intensity and another connection herewith is in a reverse order, they can be used to prepare the body for more challenging detoxification based on their strength. Well, it is my hope these tips come in handy if you are worried about fasting with low blood sugar levels.
