Guest guest
Hello- I am new to this group, as well. I have " dabbled " in vegetarianism and veganism for close to 20 years and would like to really incorporate it into my lifestyle, as well as my kids' (although that is proving to be a little more difficult). Back when I was a teenager I stumbled upon " Diet for a Small Planet " and I've found it again over this last weekend and am finding it even more impactful. Any opinions on " Diet for a Small Planet " and the " Recipes for a Small Planet " books? Are they outdated or do they have information that we now know is nutritionally incorrect? What about the " politics " of the book - did anyone find them appropriate, incorrect or otherwise? Love any feedback, thanks, Poppy
Guest guest
Hi,Saw your email and wanted to comment on Diet for a Small Planet. I too stumbled on it years (decades). I loved the message, but also found it too hard to follow her model. I think she complicates vegetarianism in unnecessary ways.I have dabbled in vegetarianism off and on for years. Finally, in April 2005 I gave up meat 99.9%. I use common sense and read a lot of print materials and try to keep it simple. As long as I'm eating fruits, vegetables and beans/dairy I feel wonderful. So, that's my simple way to live this way.Good Luck!!AMpoppy70629 <poppy wrote: Hello- I am new to this group, as well.
