Guest guest
Can anyone give me good hints to make a better one. I cook the soybeans, then out them in the blender. I put tomato/soy sauce, spike, saute onion/peppers and garlic. It taste good alright. For two cups of cooked soybeans I use less than a cup of oats. This seems to be the problem, the consistency. I dreaded using more oats because I want to get protein in there. I thought some might use whole wheat flour too? I had a soyburger that tasted like a log in a cafe, seems to be all grains, not good! Guest guest
if you mash some swede and carrots and bind the mixture that way, and make it quite wet then add the flour that works !x! - " Adrien " <adriens_mandolin Thursday, August 05, 2004 1:24 PM Soy burgers/ the consistency problem > Can anyone give me good hints to make a better one. Guest guest
If you're vegan, this won't help, but a lot of people use egg whites for consistency. Egg whites help hold the burger together.
