I love quinoa - there’s so much you can do with it to vary the flavours,

etc and it has such a great texture. And it’s a great choice for a

protein component in your diet, because like Melissa mentioned, it’s a

complete protein. There are also some really yummy prepackaged quinoa

side dishes in my local grocery store, with the seasonings already

combined in the package, etc. I can usually find them in the

organic/vegetarian section, or with the couscous, pilafs, etc. They’re

really convenient when I want something quick.

 

 

 

I’ve found that sautéing it for a few minutes before simmering makes a

HUGE difference in the flavour of the grain (nutty, instead of bland),

so if anyone has had it and not liked it you might try that to see if it

makes a difference.
