Guest guest
This is good old-fashioned comfort food for me, almost like Grandma used to make it. 2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp flour 2 cloves garlic 2 cups milk cheese – grated/cubed, whatever varieties you like (I used cheddar and provolone this time) parsley ½ lb pasta, cooked al dente and drained fine bread crumbs salt and pepper While the pasta is boiling make a roux from the butter and flour. Stir in milk and allow to thicken slightly over medium heat. Add the cheese, garlic and parsley, and stir continually to melt. Pour cheese sauce over pasta in a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle with bread crumbs and season with salt and pepper. Bake at 350F until sauce is bubbly and bread crumbs are golden brown. This is definitely not diet food, but you can use low fat cheeses, skim milk, whole wheat pasta, etc to make it a little healthier. -- Sherri " Fortunately, I traded my conscience for a motorcycle and a copy of 'Doom' when I was 17.
