Guest guest
Atkins blossomed just after the first of these kinds of reports surfaced, as a beef-industry sponsored diversion to keep consumption up, and boy did it work well. After all, it was telling people just what they wanted to hear. (Similar to the current nonsense about oil being a renewable resource that the earth makes -- which, even if true, simply means hastened greenhouse effect and earth becoming venus all the sooner. Looking forward to those 900° summers?) So one wonders if the mad cow crime is becoming tragedy and will soon not be ignorable? Silly me, we still ignore AIDS.
