I almost always use canned beans. The only brand that I usually avoid is " Ranch

Style. " I have found that their beans are usually broken.

When I cook with canned beans, I always drain and rinse them. I discard the

liquid. It is usually full of sugars that cause gas, and most of the salt will

be in the liquid too.

This brings me to a question for the group.

When you buy canned beans which is your

favorite brand?

Are there some you have found horribly salty or

mushy?

I love chickpeas dried or canned:) My favorite canned vegetable is spinach

though:) It's a little mushy coming from the can but still very good and not at

all that salty. I like canned beets also.
