I froze them and cooked them later to make sure they would be firm. my friend dave loved them, i found the texture a bit to get used. christa Vegetarian burgers 2 tsp vegetable oil 1 small onion, grated 1 ½ c chopped mushrooms ½ tsp italian seasoning 19 oz kidney beans 1 egg yolk 2 tbsp bread crumbs ¼ tsp pepper 3 oz cheddar cheese, sliced in skillet, heat oil over med heat. Cook onion, mushroom and italian seasoning, stirring for 8 mins. In bowl, mash kidney beans with a fork. Add mushroom mixture, egg yolk, bread crumbs and pepper. Mix well. Shape into 4 half inch patties. Place patties on grill and cook 5 mins. I skipped the mushrooms since I didn't have any and used dehydrated onion since all my onions were rotten in the middle *ug* oh and used 3 tbsp of bread crumbs and 1 entire egg......... so much for following teh recipe Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
