Guest guest
Hello everyone Thank you for inviting me to this group. I am not a vegeterian but would like to learn about this lifestyle and perhaps I just may just convert to a vegeterian someday. I am currently on a diet and constantly looking for ways to not incorporate meat into my diet. I am not a big meat eater but I want to try to stay away from meat and eat healthier. I dont eat junk food and I dont eat fast food. Looking forward to getting to know you all. Cheryl.
Guest guest
Hi Cheryl, welcome. You should find some decent recipes here, I've done a lot of cutting and pasting. Dropping meat if you find yourself going the route is actually not that hard once you discover the wealth of tasty alternatives. Having been at this about a dozen years, permit me to offer for consideration the suggestion that vegetarianism rests best on conviction. If you read on the subject, let yourself be persuaded more by its inherent ethical rightness instead of what other people may think, pro or con. Two links I like a lot are these: http://www.peta.org/about/faq.asp and http://www.askcarla.com/ac/tempfaq/FAQ.asp?CategoryID=5 & Category=Veg Some people think PETA a little forward in its discussion with the world; without sounding in on that, I like to just read and weigh ideas for their intrinsic worth. I might not have been a prime candidate for ditching meat (and finally going vegan too) when I first was exploring the idea in and out, but I found everything eventually, from theistic to health to just about any other angle finally fell through with time and learning. Hope you enjoy the board :-) You might find the following items interesting from an environmental angle too -- http://www.uksociety.org/vegetarian_ecology.htm and http://www.vegsource.com/articles/pimentel_water.htm , " italianprincess0209 " <italianprincess0209> wrote: > Hello everyone > > Thank you for inviting me to this group.
