Guest guest
well, for a lot of people it's a gradual process-- i know it was for me. i gave up red meat/pork in the 8th grade after seeing a slaughterhouse. i gave up chicken in 1994 after i realized that i hadn't eaten it in a month without even trying, and it was not a problem at all. fish was the last thing i gave up, although i always felt awful when i gave into my dim sum addiction (which was pretty much the only time i ate fish). once i started doing research on why people would become vegan, i realized there was no way i could have my values and continue to consume animal products in good conscience, so giving up everything else was a snap. i really don't miss anything (except for real cheese pizza, where the cheese stretches-- that can be tempting at times!). i feel that if you believe in something strongly enough, adhering to those beliefs isn't difficult at all. you'd be amazing how sweet chickens can be when they're raised right-- very affectionate!! take care and keep smiling melody http://www.flawlessfitness.com http://www.melodysmusic.net
