Olive Oil cake

So, I made this cake last night. I had two recipes, one from Saveur

magazine and one from Veg Cooking for Everyone. I chose the cookbook

version. I will post the recipe later, but other ingredients

included: finely grated zest of a whole orange and lemon, orange

water, sugar, vanilla, whipped egg whites, and egg/sugar mixture.

 

It smelled wonderful while baking (even James said so) and looks

great, although the baking time seemed way off (too long) either that

or my oven is too hot (thermometer said it was fine). Anyway, I think

it's a cake I'll try again.

 

I'm taking it to a a party tonight, so I'll post was the response is.

I just hope it's not too dry.

Sounds really interesting. So there is no flour

in this cake? Hm...
