Thanks, Renee > here is is! 6-8 cups high-quality corn masa 1 pkg. follow your heart cheddar-style cheeze 1 tbsp baking powder salt to taste 1/3-1/2 cup of safflower oil 6+ cups of warmish water mix together all the dry ingredients. add the wet ingredients and keep adding water till the dough is wet enough to stick together but not soggy. the filling that i made was basically the following: 1 pkg. soyrizo 1 pkg. frozen sweet corn 1 can black beans, drained 1 pkg. frozen chopped spinach 1 jar roasted peppers (i used a mix of red and yellow), drained and chopped fine mix it all together and use as tamale filling. i'm not quite sure how to explain the tamale-making process, other than that it's something like making sushi, except using corn husks as the " seaweed, " the tamale dough as the " rice, " and the filling as... well, the filling. steam them all until they are cooked through, and freeze the leftovers in plastic bags; re-heat in the microwave. enjoy! melody http://www.melodysmusic.net
