Guest guest
I like to steam them. Use scissors to snip off the prickly tips of the leaves, wash them well, and put them into a steamer of any sort, points down and stems up. Steam them until they open a bit and the leaes are tender. Usually takes about twenty minutes. Serve them with grlic butter or hollandaise sauce. You pull off each leaf and, holding it by the tip end, dip the base end into the garlic butter, then put the base end in your mouth and tug with the tip end. Use your teeth to scrape off the flesh of the leaf. I LOVE steamed artichokes and I am going to steam some tonight in this method. Yum. nadiana1 wrote: i bought some beautiful baby artichokes at the farmer's market this weekend. anyone have any good recipes? thanks! melody http://www.melodysmusic.net
