Guest guest
Thanks for the info Sherri:) I never thought about what happened to that woman just being an allergic reaction to the Splenda. I really appreciate the input. I guess I can tell my mother not to worry now hehe:) You could be right about the warning just being a sales gimmic. I know how people can say things like that just to throw a scare into the people so they can sell their products. Sometimes however, the statements are true but it's difficult to know sometimes what statements are indeed valid and which ones are garbage. How is anyone to know for sure? Splenda has been used in Canada for years and years, with no problems that I'm aware of. My family has been using it since it came on the market in our area, and no one has had any problems. Of course, different people react to things differently, so I'm sure there *are* some people who have problems with Splenda. But if your mother has been using it will no ill effects, I doubt it's going to harm her to continue. Frankly, I think those warnings are more of Mercola's bunk to get people to buy his supplements, books, etc. My bet is that it's yet another marketing gimic. -- Sherri Tax Center - File online by April 15th
