Guest guest
I fly to NY every year or so to visit family, and I have yet to be served a delicious meal on a plane, even when requesting veggie options, but then they have seriously cut back on what they offer since 9/11. Often they will offer nothing at all. And most of the main airports we change planes in have only McD's and the like within walking distance of the gates where we can grab something; no thanks! The best thing to do is to pack your own lunch and take fresh fruits, granola bars, and water bottles (that's what I do). I just read an article in the current Veg Times that several large airports around the country are offering better food options (for vegetarians too) that are convenient and fast to grab on the run between flights for frequent travellers to meet the demands since airlines are failing to. So that is encouraging! ~ feral ~ God comes to the hungry in the form of food. ~ Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (1869-1948) ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~~> , Armadillo <armadillogrl> wrote: > What about the so-called " steamed vegetables " you get served on an airplane?!?! > > I am so tired of requesting vegetarian meals from airlines and getting green mushy stuff dumped on top of cold brown rice. > > Any advice?
