Guest guest
but alas we are in the middle of selling our house and moving to a new one. Thankfully the growing season is quite long here, so if I can get all the moving and house buying & selling done in good time I will do a late summer garden. Last year I had tomatoes, zucchini, rhubarb, and basil, along with several varieties of peppers that didn't do a damn thing... oh, and arugula! I just love arugula. The rest of my spring/summer/autumn veggies that I get come from the farmer's markets~ organic yeah! ~ pt ~ Each season, in its turn, seems the loveliest. ~ Mark Twain
Guest guest
Last year, my peppers didn't do a thing either, but the tomatoes were prolific. Do you grow the arugula from seed? Guest guest
Yes! Same here. What was it with those peppers? *lol* I do grow my arugula from seed; so simple to grow in small batches and just keep planting a steady supply, like any lettuce. They do not tend to like the midsummer heat that much, so small porch boxes I can move around to find shade is best for that time of year. It gets very hot and dry here in the summer. ~ pt ~ The Celts believed that there was another dividing line that all people could straddle, if only they stretched themselves a bit. And that's the divide between the world and the otherworld. ~ Steve Rabery, 'In The House of Memory' ~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~*~~~> , " sweetcatkins " < sweetcatkins> wrote: > Last year, my peppers didn't do a thing either, but the tomatoes were > prolific.
